We arrived safely in Colorado on the evening of the 25th. First off, I
have to say we have been (and still are being) blessed by great friends
in Alabama. While we prepared to move, we had people watching kids for
us, helping us pack, cleaning the house, painting, repairing walls,
making dinner, and I'm probably forgetting some things too. Then on
moving night we had about 12 people show up to help us load the truck.
It was truly humbling to see the outpouring of support and assistance
and we are very grateful to everyone.
My mom came on the trip with us to help with driving the van because and to help and be with the kids while I drove the truck and had one of the kids riding with me. The drive out went really well. We stayed in a hotel after the first night, then hung out with my family in Amarillo, TX for a day on our next stop before heading to Denver.
We had a lot of great help in Colorado when we arrived. My sister-in-law gathered up a team of people from church to help us unload the contents from our large moving truck to a storage unit. We must have had about 7 or 8 people there to help. Plus, my sister-in-law and her family are letting us live with them until we are able to get our own place. Again, we really are truly blessed.
Unfortunately, I have hardly taken my camera out of the bag since we've arrived in Colorado, but hopefully that will change soon and I'll get some photos up of us out here. In the meantime, here are some pics from our trip.
